My earliest memory of owning a camera is from what I think was my sixth Birthday. It was pink, used that film sort of shaped like a telephone and many, many pictures of kittens followed.

Ahh…and a love for photography was born.

Later, with the help of my Dad’s old but fantastic SLR, I carried my love through Jr. High, High School and all the way to College. It was at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago where I soaked up as much about  photography, art history, painting, drawing, graphic arts and fiber arts as I could.

Once I earned my BFA from SAIC, I took my well-rounded art education and joined the Imaginative Studios team where I soaked up more about the fun and creative side of wedding photography than I ever dreamed existed and thanks to Miss Gina M. DeConti, I was hooked!!

Inspired by what Gina introduced me to, I started my own company in 2006. Previously known as M Lin Media, Melissa Lin Ellis Photography has been my livelihood since!
